This year, we – Class 6A – visited Dublin, the gorgeous capital of Ireland, together with our teachers Prof. Treptow-Wachtel and Prof. Köck.
When we arrived at Dublin Airport, a friendly driver picked us up and took us to the language school in Dún Laoghaire, where we spent the next five days improving our English. Our host families later came to collect us, and we made ourselves comfortable in our rooms.
After school, we went on excursions to places such as Kilkenny and Dalkey Castle. We also went bowling in Bray, tried a Céilí Irish dance, took a walking tour of Dublin, and visited museums like EPIC and the Jeanie Johnston museum ship.
Of course, we also went shopping. We bought lots of things in Dublin, like souvenirs and matching teddies.
Overall, the whole trip was great, and it was wonderful to experience the country in real life after learning so much about it in school. J
